The opening on a phone: the identity above the character

A little context.

A personal portfolio has to introduce the work and the person behind it. Kareem Osman’s website brings his creative direction, campaigns, brand identities and films into one place.

It opens with a bold violet identity and a rendered character tossing a cube, then hands the visitor over to the work.

Make the introduction feel personal.

The site moves in four beats: meet the person, see the work, understand the company it keeps, find the way around.

  1. A name and a character.

The bilingual identity and the character share a quiet white canvas. The looping film adds one small moment of play.

  2. Work that moves.

Scrolling turns the page violet and sends the selected projects drifting around one line: Ideas that move people.

  3. The company it keeps.

Brands follow on black, in their own colours: a plain record of who the work was for.

  4. Six words to get around.

The menu is the whole map: Campaigns, Branding, AI Films, Playground, About, Contact.

Give different kinds of work a shared rhythm.

Each category opens the same way: one large violet word, a short statement, then the selected work. Brand identities, campaigns, films and illustration keep their own character inside a consistent frame.

The site’s job is to frame Kareem’s work and make it approachable. The featured campaigns are his portfolio subjects.

What I take
from it.

The interesting balance is between a memorable introduction and a useful portfolio. The identity and character make the opening distinctive, while the work remains the centre of the journey.

This case study focuses on the website’s presentation and interaction. Kareem’s project imagery, professional credits and original character artwork belong to his portfolio and are shown here as part of that website context.
